Acure Organics Argan Oil Cleansing Towelettes

I’ll let you in on a little secret, when it comes to any type of camping, I absolutely hate showering. I don’t care if there’s a shower right next to my campsite. I just want to be stinky and smelly. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll jump into a stream, lake, or ocean if it’s available, but paying for a hot shower in the wilderness is fundamentally wrong.

This not showering and not being 100% clean idea conflicts a lot with my obsessive skincare routine, so I try to offset it with some really good facial wipes. And really good facial wipes have been hard to find until now.

The Acure Organics Argan Oil Cleansing Towelettes are a 100% biodegradable towelette. Vegan, sulfate free, cruelty free, paraben free, gluten free, PEG free, petroleum free, pthalate free and silicone free, these babies are free of a lot of harmful chemicals that do more harm to your skin than good. The ingredients won’t clog your pores and leave you feeling clean and refreshed after a long day of adventuring. It’s gentle enough for sensitive skin and removed dirt and grossness effectively to help prevent breakouts. I very rarely wear makeup so cannot attest to makeup removal power.

For a week in the woods, they kept my skin in fairly good shape with no stinging, peeling or adverse reactions. I used these twice a day, once before bed and once after waking up. If you’re a skincare nut like me, they are a great luxury to have in your pack.

The towelettes come in a standard dispensing package with a solid sticky top to prevent the wipes from drying. Often times, I find that the “lid” is dysfunctional and I’m left with a pack of 90% dry wipes.

One pack contains 30 biodegradable wipes and costs $8.99. You can find these at any Whole Foods, Sprouts, online through their website here, or on Amazon. There are often Acure Organics coupons floating around online for free shipping & a discount, so hunt around.

  1. I love these wipes! I have really sensitive skin so they feel great after a long hike. Did you like the scent? I did at first but by the last wipe it took on an odd odor…maybe the drying out affects it?

    1. Hi Johnie, oops, I just saw your comment! I actually didn’t notice much of a scent compared to other stuff I have tried. Most of my skincare products have weird scents anyway, so I was okay with it.
