Acure Organics Review

I’m secretly a skincare junkie. I ran a beauty blog prior to Little Grunts. I’m always on the lookout for the latest and greatest to swap into my kit, even if it means wreaking havoc on my skin. These days, I’ve largely committed myself to Acure Organics.

Their products are largely organic and free from gluten, parabens, sulfates, phthalates, harmful preservatives and artificial colors. They do not test on animals. They are a sustainable company that promotes green packaging, recycled materials, and biodegradable product.10 cents for every Day Cream and Night Cream sold supports Unite For HER’s efforts.  Acure also supports Turning Green.

Bottom line: Acure Organics is a company that does good, for your skin and for the planet.

Sensitive Facial Cream

My skin is super sensitive. Use the wrong ingredients and it’s all red and angry. This is the only moisturizer that hasn’t caused my skin to burn. It feels like I’m applying a film to my face. It’s not exactly lightweight or super absorbent but it also doesn’t clog my pores.

The Magical Wonderfluff

I go through mega dry spells in the winter where my skin flakes and flakes and flakes no matter how much I moisturize or exfoliate. So far the Wonderfluff has helped to control that. It’s designed as a leave on mask for overnight, but I don’t think there’s any reason why you can’t wear it during the day. I like this better than the Sensitive Facial Cream; it absorbs quickly and doesn’t feel sticky on my skin. I am tempted to use it as my daily moisturizer.

Eye Cream

The Acure Organics eye cream has been the only product that I consistently use. Packed with antioxidant-filled ingredients like pomegranate, acai, and goji berry, the cream fights wrinkles and absorbs quickly. The formula is lightweight, won’t clog your pores or cause those weird little bumps of skin. My latest purchase of this one smells a little funky but I think it might just be the batch I got because I’ve never had that issue. The only other problem is that the plastic container sucks when it’s not full of product. The eye cream used to come in glass jars and that was rad. Now, I waste more product than I use when I’m using a container that’s around half empty.

Argan Oil

Argan oil is the stuff of miracles. Dry spell, split ends, rough cuticles, itchy skin, what have you, this provides instant relief. A few drops goes a long way.

For sunscreen, COOLA Suncare Sport SPF 50 is my pick.
