Russian Gulch State Park and the Fern Canyon trail have convinced me that Mendocino is some sort of magical, enchanted forest, ripe with greenery, glistening from mist, and filled with woodland creatures… and river otters.
Lake Tahoe-Nevada State Park: Sand Harbor, rather Sand Harbor Overlook if you’re someone who never carries cash like me, is a section of the lake with enormous boulders dotting the shoreline and a sandy beach area. In the summer, it gets ridiculously packed with people playing in the water and laying out.
The boyfriend and I made our way up to Seattle this past weekend to celebrate my big 2-4 birthday! Officially in my mid-twenties, wahoo! We met up with some #hikerchat friends, Lee, Jessica, and Mike, and took a jaunt to the Mountain Loop Highway area.
